The Health Care Bill sometimes referred to as health care reform refers to the two bills, Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 and Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).<\/p>\n

Under the two bills, the health care reform plan offers a lot of provisions mostly to workers. However, as from January 2014, the law expanded Medicaid eligibility to include non-elderly, all low-income as well as non-disabled individuals. It also includes employed adults as well as working families for people with an income below $29,000 for a family of four.<\/p>\n

Under the health care reform, one cannot be denied to get the cover because of pre-existing conditions. It also offers incentives for firms and companies to come up with their health care benefits and also mandates other businesses to come up with their health insurance schemes for their employees. The bills also call individuals to get health insurance coverage so as to enjoy the health insurance benefits.<\/p>\n

For your employer to offer an insurance cover, the business must be having fifty full-time employees and above. For any company with fifty full-time employees, they are supposed to offer and pay for the medical insurance cover for all the employees. For an employer who fails to insure their employees, they can be fined up to $2000 for every uninsured employee.<\/p>\n

Under this bill, employers are required to provide subsidized insurance cover to their employees as long as the firm has fifty or more employees. The government offers incentives to employers who provide insurance covers to their employees. The employer won\u2019t have to pay the entire insurance premium for the employee. It can be subsidized insurance plan that will be affordable to the employees.<\/p>\n

As an individual, you can get health insurance through the employer, government-offered plan or private insurer. You can then start to enjoy the health insurance benefits. There is a penalty if one fails to get medical coverage.<\/p>\n
