A federal contractor refers to an agreement between a person or entity with a department or an agency of the federal government to provide services, supply or for other work. These contractors are governed by a set of special employment laws and regulations different from those in the private sector. The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program (OFCCP) is tasked with the duty of enforcing these laws.
